Elite coaching

Meet the coaches behind Hoosier Elite Lacrosse. Our staff is committed to developing athletes through strong fundamentals, game awareness, discipline, and leadership both on and off the field. Each coach brings experience, passion, and a genuine investment in helping players grow with confidence and compete at a higher level.

Nik Allen - Head Coach

Nik Allen began his lacrosse journey in Indianapolis, Indiana, playing at Northside and Bishop Chatard High School before continuing at Indiana Tech University, where he competed in MCLA Division II lacrosse. Over the past five years, he has coached and trained athletes and teams across Texas, Indianapolis, and Fort Wayne, serving as Program Director for Hoosier Elite LC, Fort Wayne All-Stars, and Fort Wayne Blacksnakes. Driven by a deep passion for the game, Nik is committed to developing the next generation of athletes through discipline, character, and energy.

Griffin Gibson-Thomas - Coach

Raised on the south side of Indianapolis, Indiana, he was a four-year varsity starter at Southport High School, leading the team in goals all four seasons and setting the program’s single-season scoring record. He continued his career at the NCAA Division II level, where he played four years of collegiate lacrosse, was voted Head Team Captain, and earned National Team of the Week honors twice. During his college career, his team led Conference Carolinas in goals, assists, and total points, finished first in NCAA Division II in scoring efficiency, and set the program record for wins in a season.

Maddie Swartz - Coach

Maddie Swartz has built his lacrosse career on steady development, strong performance, and a competitive edge. He was recognized as Most Improved Player in 2021, earned Second Team All-Conference honors in 2024, and was named First Team All-Conference in 2025. Now competing as a faceoff specialist for Indiana Tech Lacrosse, Maddie brings valuable experience and a strong understanding of the game to Hoosier Elite Lacrosse. His ability at the faceoff spot was evident early on, finishing his high school career with an outstanding 85.18% faceoff win percentage.

Joseph Ruiz - Coach

Joseph Ruiz played four years of lacrosse at Homestead High School and also competed for Revolt Lacrosse Club as a midfielder. Since graduating, he has remained active in the game through coaching with Hoosier Elite Lacrosse, earning a place on the Mexico Lacrosse Team, and continuing to pursue his goal of playing Division I MCLA lacrosse.

Logan Miltner - Coach

Logan Miltner is a first-year starter at Wabash College as a faceoff specialist. He brings a strong understanding of technique, speed, and control at the faceoff position, and is passionate about helping young athletes develop into confident and effective FOGOs.

His high school accolades include 2x All-Conference honors, 2x All-Class recognition, Returner of the Year, Most Improved Player in 2023, and Overall MVP in 2025. Logan also holds records for highest faceoff win percentage at 100% with 25 faceoffs taken, as well as most faceoffs won in a single game with 25.
